Kirks "Stats"

This is me at the Experimental Aircraft Association Flyin in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. This was 1994, I think.

Who am I? What do I do? Well, I do spend many hours securely ensconced at my computer, or reading a book, watching TV, etc. But I separate these times into bloody little chunks with what a friend of mine once described as "controlled adventures."

What I mean by "controlled adventure" is an activity which is either unusual, exciting, or both. Examples: flying, flying aerobatics (back when I had a plane available that I could afford to rent), Skydiving (once), medieval battle recreations (not as often as I used to), and little sports cars (See my new, very rudimentary Miata page for my recent development in this regard!)

Don't get the impression that I'm one of those adrenaline junkies, though. I like my risks in very minimal doses, and I get twitchy if I don't get large heapings of quiet time. But I like to have something to talk about when the weekend is over.

NEWS! UPDATE! My Greatest Adventure: As I'd earlier claimed, I and a frighteningly wonderful lady named Kendra planned to wed in October of 2000. Believe it or not, everything went off without a hitch (except for the "getting married" kind of hitch of course. That was successfully accomplished in a most happy manner.) Life has been excellent ever since.

By the way. Some people may think I have a bloated opinion of myself. They are Wrong Wrong WRONG! I am EVER so humble!
