Sky Diving Kirk! (tm)

Probably the most "out there" thing I've done, and I've only done it once. The excuse I used for talking myself into it was that the FAA requires anybody aboard a plane doing aerobatics to be wearing a parachute. I figured I should know how to use one.

I opted for a freefall first jump. The 2 instructors are keeping me from tumbling out of control.

However, I really, really wanted to skydive anyway. It was a total blast, and I may go back and do it more in the future. For now, I'm spending my money on actually landing in all the planes I take off in. (grin)

New jumpers need to give a $20 rip cord deposit, since they frequently drop the rip cords in the excitement. You get the $20 back when you return the rip cord. I thought I wouldn't have any such problem, but they made me fork over the $20 anyway. In this picture you can see my $20's flying away. Sigh...

Here's a page that looked to have some good skydiving info.
